globalization….growing our local economies
So your argument is that if we are serious about expanding trade and growing economically, not only as individual nation-states but globally, then we must focus our energy effort and resources toward those international agencies and initiatives that seek to strengthen trade, communication, education and personal contact on a global scale thus reducing the likelihood of nationalistic militarism. In other words, we should be working together to strengthen our common cultural connections through concerted global efforts by every means at our disposal to encourage broader more open trade, thus controlling the cyclic nature of isolationism/ nationalism. If we want longterm economic growth and global and national financial stability, then encouraging the reduction of trends to increased militarization is most likely the best way to accomplish that objective.
